An interesting game forVaqueros (20-7) which hosted in Bayamon 4th placed Gigantes (11-10). First ranked Vaqueros had an easy win 115-78 . Bayamon shot 60.6 percent from the field. Bayamon outrebounded Carolina 34-19 including a 26-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. Bayamon shot the lights out from three sinking 21 long-distance shots on high 61.8 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. International guard Stephen Thompson Jr (194-1997, college: Oregon St.) nailed 29 points (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) for the winning side and Dominican swingman Chris Duarte (197-1997, college: Oregon) accounted for 19 points and 5 assists. Five Vaqueros players scored in double figures. American forward Kristian Doolittle (201-1997, college: Oklahoma, agency: Pensack Sports) came up with 18 points and the former international swingman David Huertas (196-1987, college: Ole Miss) added 9 points respectively for Carolina in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Bayamon maintains first place with 20-7 record. Defending champion Carolina keeps the fourth position with ten games lost.
